BRAD THOMPSON CREATIVE WRITES NATIONAL TOY SPOT

Not often does a writer get the opportunity to create a national TV ad that is the very first television spot a company has ever done. Such was the case when national toy company, Jada, makers of the wildly popular "DUBS" line of scale model cars, wanted a national TV spot for their new line of cool laser tag RC cars Battle Machines.


The result was a fun and fast-paced spot that’s nearly as much fun as the cars, themselves, which are some of the coolest things on four wheels.

BRAD THOMPSON CREATIVE WORKING WITH GAMESTOP

Brad Thompson Creative has started working with national videogame retailer, GameStop, to write segments for their in-store broadcast network, GSTV. BTC was introduced to GameStop through long-time business associate, Steve Dunning, Chief Creative Officer of CRM Studios of Irving. CRM Studios produces upwards of 40 broadcast segments each month for GameStop.


The segments, which feature hosts Chris Burnett and Jennifer Sipes, are a fun and insightful look at new and upcoming game titles and consoles, plus news and behind-the-scenes features at what all goes into making the games, including interviews with game developers and star-studded launch parties.


“Working on this project for GameStop is great fun,” says Brad. “Videogames are a hot, cutting-edge industry and doing this sort of dialogue-driven broadcast is what I really love.”


Brad’s most recent collaboration with Dunning and CRM resulted in a spectacular interactive motion theater ride for RadioShack, called Operation: Micron, currently playing in the RadioShack flagship store in Fort Worth, Texas.



BRAD THOMPSON CREATIVE NAMES NEW NERF® PRODUCT

In a move to widen their product offering beyond blasters, Nerf® recently launched a new line of handheld melee weapons, called the N-Force Swords.


Working with Dallas toy agency, Uproar!, Brad came up with the winning names for the first two swords in the new N-Force line – Thunder Fury and Shadow Fury.


“It’s a great honor,” said Brad. “I’ve worked on a lot of naming jobs, but none this high profile. Nerf is a great company and these swords are really cool. I’m really glad to have been a part of this launch.”
